Marin, CA is one of those places of magic and creativity. It is where I had a long term relationship, wrote lyrics and sang in a band, learned I have a passion for trail running, enjoyed some of the better and bitter days of life. The above poem was written a year following the long term relationship break up. I reconnected with a friend who breathed a little fresh air in my atmosphere. Despite still feeling lonely and still processing the break up my Sagittarius optimism shined through. One lives long enough and becomes aware enough to notice cycles...

Thirty three times is the last number I recall when counting how many times I have moved. I'm not sure what year I counted, if it includes the house I currently call home in central Texas. I don't care to look backwards and add the number up anymore so I'm going to stay with 33. I have a stack of journals about knee high that have managed to make it with me through all those moves. I have journals that I know ended up in a land fill as when I went to retrieve them from a prior room...
